What is Pranic Healing®?
Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force. Pranic Healing® is a highly evolved and tested system of energy medicine developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui that utilises prana (life-force) to balance, harmonise and transform the body's energy processes. It is a simple yet powerful system of no-touch energy healing that addresses physical and emotional imbalances, based on the fundamental principle that the body is a self-repairing, living entity that possesses the ability to heal itself and that the healing process is accelerated by increasing this life-force that is readily available from the sun, air and the earth. This invisible vital energy or prana keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. In acupuncture, the Chinese refer to this subtle energy as Chi. It is also called Ruach or the Breath of Life in Hebrew. Master Choa Kok Sui says: ‘Life energy or prana is all around us. It is pervasive; we are actually in an ocean of life energy. Based on this principle, a healer can draw in pranic energy or life energy from the surroundings.’

Pranic Healing® requires no drugs, gadgets, not even physical contact with the subject. Physical contact is not required because the practitioner is working on the bioplasmic or energy body and not directly on the physical body. This energy body, or aura, is the mould or blueprint that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body. It is the energy body that absorbs life energy and distributes it throughout the physical body, to the muscles, organs, glands, etc. The reason Pranic Healing® works on the energy body is that physical ailments first appear as energetic disruptions in the aura before manifesting as problems in the physical body. This pervasive energy that surrounds, interpenetrates and sustains the physical body, also affects our emotions, our ability to handle stress, relationships and even finances. Try this powerful and effective, profoundly healing therapy for yourself at Lotus.

How do face masks and face creams differ?

How do face masks differ from face creams?

Using a face mask has many benefits for skin and plays a very different role to face creams. Facemasks should be applied only once or twice a week whereas face creams should be used on the skin every day for rehydration and protection.

Applying a face cream every morning and evening improves your skin’s health and appearance while also preventing premature aging and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines – a face mask is used to gain the above results too but targets specific skin problems.

Facemasks are far more concentrated than face creams and skin will see the difference when used in conjunction with a good skincare routine. Do not use a facemask more than twice a week as the high concentration can lead to skin irritations. Remember to use a moisturizer after deep cleansing masks and keep a variety of facemasks on hand to target all skin concerns such as dehydration, regeneration and deep cleansing.

Face masks should be chosen according to your skin needs. Clients concerned with skin problems should visit a beauty therapist or beauty professional so that the best product with the most effective results can be prescribed to the client to use on her or his skin. Therapists are trained in the products that they prescribe to their clients and therefore have the best knowledge and information to give to ladies and gents with skin concerns.

A good face mask does the skin wonders - so get your hands on one now to keep skin glowing and looking beautiful!

DOCTOR BABOR BODY CELLULAR LAUNCH

Take care of your body – be body beautiful

BABOR was proud to be a part of the DaVinci Spa and Hotel ladies lunch that took place on the 6th of July 2013. The theme for the afternoon was “How to take care of your body in order to be body beautiful” and the ladies that attended got to learn more about how to look after their bodies through the use of DR BABOR Body Cellular Products.

BABOR Executive – Nedine Gordon focused the Body Beautiful presentation on the different fruits that represent different body shapes and the ladies that attended got to then choose which fruit best suited their bodies.

The DR BABOR BODY CELLULAR Range encompasses six precisely formulated body performance products that are perfectly attuned to the needs of women, and tailored to tackle the most frequent problem areas. Each contains effective, plant-based high-tech active ingredients that significantly improve the skin structure. Problem areas are not a myth; they really exist and have been scientifically demonstrated and age is not the only cause. Hormonal fluctuations and external factors also determine whether our bodies stay in shape. BABOR’s Research and Innovation Center has examined the causes of five typical problem areas.  DOCTOR BABOR BODY CELLULAR now offers a highly effective product range that is tailored exclusively to these areas of the body. There are six products within this effective range:

·         ULTIMATE LIPOFILL BUST Lotion

·         ULTIMATE FORMING BODY Cream

·         ULTIMATE 3D CELLULITE Lotion and ULTIMATE 3D CELLULITE Fluid

·         ULTIMATE COOLING LEG REFINER

BABOR Brand Ambassador

BABOR is thrilled to announce Melissa Rom as the first ever BABOR Brand Ambassador. We’re looking forward to having this beautiful young woman aboard the BABOR Journey with us. We’ve put together a few questions to find out more about our beautiful Ambassador.

How do you feel about your new role as the BABOR Brand Ambassador? Completely over the moon! Honoured & privileged. I'm in love with BABOR & all it has to offer. I couldn't wish to represent a better brand!

Why are you so passionate about the brand? I’ve been using BABOR skin care for quite some time, and have reaped the rewards in leaps & bounds, constantly receiving compliments about my skin. I’ve seen the results of others as well. There is so much the brand has to offer, I simply cannot wait to explore it all.

When did you first discover BABOR? My brother had a slight problem skin growing up. My mom put him onto BABOR’s Pure range straight away as she was a loyal client. The results were remarkable! I personally started using BABOR in 2012 and have never looked back.

As a woman using BABOR , what’s your favourite skincare product within the range? I LOVE my cleanser. I use the BABOR HY-ÖL & Phytoactive Combination. My skin feels enriched and moisturised every time.

We all have our skin concerns, what is yours?  I have a sensitive skin and suffer from eczema around my nose from time to time. As we can easily become quite self conscious when it comes to our faces, it has always been a major concern for me. Since I’ve used BABOR I haven't had an issue in the slightest!

A good skincare routine is really important, what step of yours would you never miss and why? Moisturising! I adore the feeling of well hydrated, moisturised, smooth skin. I moisturise twice a day, using my BABOR SKINOVAGEPX Daily Calming Cream and Intense Calming Cream moisturisers for sensitive skin.

What do you believe makes a woman truly beautiful? How we project ourselves. Personally, how I project myself and feel on the inside, is often what I reflect on the outside. I love being a woman, and spending “me” time on my skin & other cosmetic rituals which enhance our emotional and physical aspects.

What’s your number one beauty secret? Haha that's an easy one! I would honestly have to say my BABOR skin and body care regime. The condition of my skin affects what I look like and how I feel.  I can’t explain how much I love the feeling of silky smooth skin – body & face! My best J

Do you have any beauty tips to share with us? Less is more!

-         Personally, I never over do it in terms of make up / hair. A more intense eye calls for a nude lip and visa versa.

-          Keep your skin moisturised, especially during Winter, there’s nothing more beautiful than a glow all year round

-          Make a beauty appointment with yourself – twice a week, take a time out, and enjoy a scrub or mask in a hot, relaxing bath! That's my personal best ;)
